Owned by Scott Hunter and Maria Larsen (the couple behind the award winning Princess of Shoreditch) and situated near Grays Inn Road, The Lady Ottoline opened her doors in October 2011 after an extensive refurbishment.
Another typical London pub with considerable effort made to create an inviting ambience, this attention to detail is shown with the drinks too, with local Craft Ales available and an extensive wine list.
The upstairs dining rooms serve simple traditional fare but with a modern twist, using high quality ingredients.
Starters range from Soup of the day to Chart Farm venison carpaccio & turnip remoulade.
Mains may include Pie of the day, 8oz Hereford beef burger, burger sauce & triple dipped chips and Gilt-head bream, winter vegetable stew & Morecambe Bay shrimp
Desserts include Dark chocolate tart & vanilla ice cream,Vanilla pannacotta & cassis spiced fruits.
The Lady Ottoline is typical of the new breed of Gastropub which appeal as much for their food as their drink selection. It is particularly renown for its Sunday roasts which often include Slow roasted Kilravock pork,Slow roast sirloin of Hereford beef and 12 hour braised organic shoulder of Romshed lamb.
