If the grey London skies and freezing cold mornings are getting you down, perhaps its time to look forward to some of the London summer festivals. Headline acts are being added all the time but it is beginning to look like a spectacular summer.

Field Day

Victoria Park, Victoria Park – Saturday June 6 2015 – Sunday June 7 2015

First on the festival front is Field Day on Victoria Park, since 2007 it has developed into one of London’s most popular music festivals. Its eclectic line up incorporates everything from  pop,indie, underground and folk.

2015 line-up includes Ride, Caribou, Patti Smith, FKA Twigs, Mac DeMarco, Run The Jewels, Savages, Kindness, Owen Pallett, Chet Faker, Diiv, Hookworms, Madlib, Django Django, Astronomy, Allah – Las, BOK BOK, Baxter Dury, plus more.

British Summer Time

Hyde Park, Hyde Park – Saturday June 20 2015 – Saturday June 27 2015

British Summer Time offers a more upmarket experience with small stages, theatre,comedy,food and drink.

2015 headliners including Blur, The Who, Taylor Swift and Kylie Minogue with Paul Weller, Kaiser Chiefs, Johnny Marr, Grace Jones, Chic feat Nile Rodgers, Ellie Goulding, John Newman and more.

Wireless

Finsbury Park, Finsbury Park – Friday July 3 2015 – Sunday July 5 2015

Wireless offers a line up of hip hop, R&B and dance music with a 2015 line up that includes Drake, Avicii, David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, Mary J Blige, Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, Stromae, Labrinth, Jessie J, Clean Bandit, Duke Dumont, Joey Bada$$, Fuse ODG, Childish Gambino, Gorgon City, Grandmaster Flash plus more.

Calling Festival

Clapham Common, Clapham – Saturday July 4 2015 – Sunday July 5 2015

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will headline Saturday night at the Clapham Common rock festival with support from  Ryan Adams And The Shining, The Hives, Echo And The Bunnymen plus more.

Lovebox

Victoria Park, Victoria Park – Friday July 17 2015 – Saturday July 18 2015

Lovebox is considered one of the coolest party festivals with  line-up of DJs electronic acts and live bands, plus performance, art, dance.

South West Four

Clapham Common, Clapham – Saturday August 29 2015 – Sunday August 30 2015

Clapham Common’s dance music festival attracts superstar DJs including Fatboy Slim, Faithless, Basement Jaxx, Eric Prydz  plus more.

On Blackheath

Blackheath, Blackheath – Saturday September 12 2015 – Sunday September 13 2015

Blackheath is not your normal festival location but offers a lively set of crowd pleasers including Elbow, Madness, Manic Street Preachers, Kelis, Anna Calvi, Laura Mvula plus more.

There  will also be a food village, Chef’s club, Street Food and plenty of  family-friendly activities.
