Jeff Lynne’s ELO at The O2 – 20th and 22nd April 2016
Jeff Lynne’s ELO have released ‘Alone In The Universe’, the first new ELO music in 15 years , but also head out on a ten date UK tour including two shows at The O2 on Wednesday 20 and Friday 22 April 2016.
After thesuccess of Jeff Lynne’s ELO headline set at BBC Radio 2’s “Festival In Day” in Hyde Park in 2014, where he played to a sold-out crowd of 50,000 fans in attendance and nearly a million people on TV, Jeff brings his back catalogue and new album ‘Alone In The Universe’ to new audiences in 2016.
As with ELO’s previous chart-topping albums, Jeff Lynne continues to serve as ELO’s producer, songwriter, arranger, lead singer and guitarist. With a distinct style that seamlessly and innovatively blends rock, pop and classical, ELO has had twenty six UK Top 40 singles, making Lynne’s sweeping productions some of the most recognisable music of the last forty years and helping sell over 50 million records worldwide. Widely agreed upon as one of the greatest record producers in music history, Lynne was a co-founder and member of The Travelling Wilburys together with Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, George Harrison and Tom Petty as well as a producer and collaborator with some of the biggest names in music including The Beatles, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Joe Walsh, and most recently, Bryan Adams.
