Premier League Football in London – December 2016

premdec

The last month of Premier League football in 2016 sees a number of interesting fixtures that will provide more evidence of how London clubs will fare for the rest of the season.

Arsenal have had a steady start to the season and have been consistent rather than spectacular, December fixtures against West Ham United, Stoke and West Brom will offer tough test but the Gunners need to keep up the pressure on the teams at the top.  One team at the top, Chelsea have emerged as real title contenders with Conte’s men impressing with their teamwork and commitment, matches against West Brom, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth seem unlikely to stop the Chelsea’s progress.
Tottenham may have lost their unbeaten run against Chelsea but are still showing some of their form from last year, matches against Swansea, Hull and Burnley must be won if they still want to challenge for top four spot.
West Ham’s poor start to the season has been a surprise and December brings matches against Arsenal, Burnley and Hull, West Ham manager Bilic will be looking for improvement before the new year.
Watford and Crystal Palace have shown signs that they will likely finish mid table, however Palace will be tested against Southampton, Man Utd and Chelsea, whilst Watford play Everton and Palace.
