Les Miserables at the Queens Theatre

The famous Les Miserables at The Queens theatre is one of the world’s greatest musicals.

Cameron Mackintosh’s legendary production of Boublil and Schonberg’s Les Misérables is indisputably the world’s most popular musical – seen by over 57 million people worldwide in 42 countries, 291 cities and sung in 21 different languages. Includes the songs I Dreamed A Dream, Do You Hear the People Sing, Bring Him Home, and many more.

The first of Cameron Mackintosh’s large scale musicals. Adapted from Victor Hugo’s novel, Les Misérables is the epic tale of a man’s life journey through 18th century France and his struggle to live through the injustice and revolution of the time. It is full of passion and courage and has been acclaimed the world over.

Important information

Running time – 2 hours 50 minutes including one interval.

Performance dates – Booking until 14 October 2017.

Performances Monday to Saturday 7.30pm, Wednesday & Saturday matinee at 2.30pm

West End LIVE 2015 in Trafalgar Square – 20th and 21st June 2015

The world’s biggest celebration of musical theatre, West End LIVE will this year take place on 20 and 21 June, returning to its home in London’s Trafalgar Square.

The always popular event returns for its 11th year, West End LIVE is a unique theatrical festival when the cast from the top shows perform for free in Trafalgar Square it features performances from the West End’s world famous musicals and an exclusive line-up of appearances from some of the London stage’s favourite stars.

More than 500,000 theatre fans attended 2014’s West End LIVE, enjoying a packed weekend of performances  from long-running musicals Wicked, Billy Elliot The Musical and Les Misérables to previews of high profile productions due to hit the West End and The Royal Opera House Chorus, conducted by the legendary Placido Domingo.

When: Saturday 20th (11-6pm) and Sunday 21st (12-6pm) June 2015
Where: Trafalgar Square – enter via the North East and North West corners Cost: FREE ENTRY – this event is NOT ticketed

West End LIVE is a very popular event and access is operated on a ‘first come’ basis with further access granted as people leave. Queues are to be expected throughout the day and occasionally the Square will reach full capacity. At this point the organisers will have to stop access to the event temporarily until space opens up.

This year is the 10th year of West End Live, when the theatre world come into Trafalgar Square to show their considerable talents.

And this year is likely to be the best yet with an incredible line up of talent already confirmed to appear are the casts of Billy Elliot The Musical, The Bodyguard, Disney’s The Lion King, Zoo Nation’s Groove On Down The Road, Jersey Boys, Les Misérables, Let It Be,  Mamma Mia!, Matilda The Musical, Once, The Phantom Of The Opera, Stomp, Thriller Live and Wicked.

There is also performances  from 20th Century Boy – The Musical, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Forbidden Broadway, Porgy And Bess, Miss Saigon and The Pyjama Game.

If that was not enough there will be a Opera performances   by the Royal Opera House Chorus, which will be led by the world famous singer and conductor Plácido Domingo, and the English National Opera.

Great interest will be shown  in cabaret section entitled  10 From 10 which will feature 10 iconic songs from favourite West End shows from the past decade, with a star-studded line-up returning to their former roles to perform.
