Route 11 in purple , the best route to take in West,Central and East London

Once you arrive in London you will see a large number of Bus companies selling tours to travel on a bus around London.

These tours can be very expensive and you can do a tour yourself by taking the Local London buses for only a couple of pounds.

All you need  to know is which routes best suit where you want to go, all the routes we suggest use double decker buses so you can sit on the top deck  and see London appear in front of you.

Route 11 is known as one of best routes for sightseeing , it takes in numerous attractions in West, Central and East London.

If you start in the West you begin in Fulham then you go down trendy King’s Rd past the Saatchi Gallery and near Sloane Square. Then the attractions come thick and fast  Buckingham Palace followed by Westminster Abbey, past Big Ben and the House of Parliament , Then Whitehall, Downing Street , Trafalgar Square and the Strand, you then carry on down  Fleet St until in the distance the unmistakable form of St Paul’s, but your not finished yet there is still the Bank of England and finally the trendy bars of Shoreditch.

Route 24 Light Blue –  Great for Travelling North to South or South to North

Route 24 is one of our longest routes but takes in a  large number of  attractions. If you are heading South to North, you will startin Pimlico and go past Westminster Cathedral before coming into Westminster , there you will see Westminster Abbey and The Houses of Parliament.

Turning up Whitehall you will pass Downing Street then onto Trafalgar Square and Nelson’s Column, straight on to tourist hotspots Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road.

Moving away from the centre you head towards North London and the buzz of Camden Town where you can explore the Market and the numerous Bars and pubs.

If you want to get away from it all carry on to Hampstead Heath for great views and some piece and quiet.

On Route No.15 you’ll see more than attractions because this is known as a heritage route and can travel on one of the old London buses called a Routemaster. if you want the comfort of a modern bus they also operate on this route.

Route 15 is a very popular short route which covers central London , you can begin in the main shopping area of Regent Street  then down to  Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square,  following Aldwych  you progress onto St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London, if you are feeling adventurous you can carry on into East London.

The old Routemaster only does he central part of the journey.

Route 9 offers a more scenic short route by passing some of London’s famous parks, if you are going West to East you can start  in Kensington before passing the Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park, then look out for the sign for Harrods in Knightsbridge . Going past Green Park and St James Park with Buckingham Palace in the distance, the greenery come to an abrupt end in Trafalgar Square and the bus terminates at Aldwych not far from Covent Garden.
