RBS 6 Nations : England v Italy at Twickenham – 26th February 2017

Eddie Jones may have led England to the Grand Slam last year as part of an unbeaten 12 months following the 2015 World Cup. However he feels that complacency may be their biggest challenge entering the 2017 RBS 6 Nations tournament.

Jones’ side welcome Italy to Twickenham on the 26th February and if they are complacent a resurgent Italy may be capable of a shock. Despite the Italians finishing winless and bottom of the Six Nations table last year, a win against South Africa in the Autumn Internationals provided evidence that they can beat anyone on their day.

Former Harlequins boss Conor O’Shea has taken charge of the Italian squad and there is a degree of optimism when the side kick off their Championship home games against Wales and Ireland.

Whilst most pundits will not see anything but an easy England win, Italy will closely watched to see if they can repeat their performance against South Africa.
