This performance with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra marks the beginning of a three-year collaboration between Uchida and Southbank Centre. Uchida previous performances with The Mahler Chamber Orchestra have achieved critical acclaim for their precision and dynamic energy.
The evening features Mozart’s inventive Piano Concerto No.17 which was written for one of his students in 1784, this was the third of his twelve ‘great’ concertos, culminating in the Piano Concerto No.25.
