Hampton Court Palace will host the third BBC Good Food Festival over the August Bank Holiday weekend, visitors can discover a great selection of delicious artisan producers, a stellar line up of cooks and chefs, fabulous entertainment, family fun and great, live music. All set within the backdrop and grounds of the stunning Hampton Court Palace.
This year the Summer Kitchen Theatre, will be situated in the beautiful grounds of Home Park opposite the historic Hampton Court Palace. It will seat over 300 people to watch exceptional chefs and experts cook live on stage!
Some of the chefs and experts include Michel Roux, John Torode, Paul Hollywood, John Whaite, Lisa Faulkner, Martha Collison, Chelsie Collins, Miriam Nice and Sophie Godwin.
Discover the secrets of your favourites chefs’ success as they take to the Interview Stage hosted by Lotte Duncan.
It’s also a chance to get your own culinary queries answered as our host invites questions from the audience.
The Festival will include a great selection of family entertainment including:
Circus Sensible with their Big Top, doing live Circus Shows throughout the day and skills workshops in between the shows.
About Faces doing face painting face and body art.
Live Tudor cookery – our Historic Chefs will be roasting meat, children can help turn the spit, learn how food was made in the Tudor times and sample the cooked meat at the end of each day.
The Great Garden Game – the whole family can follow the trail that takes them around the Palace and garden looking for clues, finish the game and come back and collect your prize.
Gnome Zone – The new Magic Garden has cast a powerful spell over the whole of Hampton Court Palace, rousing our ancient gnome Umbriel and bringing him up to the light. Mysterious Umbriel is rarely seen (like all gnomes he is shy) but he has many stories to tell of the gardens’ lost secrets… if you can find him. Take care and tread lightly, and he might come out of hiding to share a tale or two. Gnomes have been hidden around the gardens and will each tell tales of Hampton court. There will be gnomes arts and crafts, storytelling, and tours of the nearest gnomes to the festival as well as maps top see if people can take the challenge and find all the hidden gnomes.
Plus our lovely bandstand with Hampton Court Palace deckchairs for all to relax on. We have 3 great bands in the The Polka Dots, Doolally Tap and Cody and the Retro Boys performing throughout all 3 days.
Tickets to the show include entry to Hampton Court Palace.
