The LIFT (London International Festival of Theatre) Festival takes place every two years and returns will a full programme over June and July.
Since 1981 LIFT has been pioneering new forms of theatre, presenting performances in London’s major arts venues, theatres and galleries, but also in countless hidden spaces and places across the city. LIFT is firmly rooted in the life of the city and of its people, celebrating the experiences of the many individuals, cultures and communities that call London home.
Lift attract world-class artists, whose often challenge the nature of theatre and explore the big ideas and themes of our time.
LIFT 2016 will takes place from 1 June to 2 July and will be themost ambitious festival yet, with work happening everywhere from the Barbican and Sadler’s Wells to East End graveyards and historic Music Halls.
