Chestertons Polo in the Park – 3rd to 5th June 2016

Hurlingham Park is intrinsically linked to the playing of Polo in England, the game was established here in 1874. Before the Second World War it was the headquarters of Polo and the scene of numerous major competitions, most notably the matches between England and the United States of America.

Since 2009, when Polo returned to Hurlingham, the Polo in the Park has grown into one of the more unusual London summertime events. It is based around the format of fast and furious Polo but is also very much a social event with a shopping village, food outlets, bars and gardens to enjoy. Whilst the event caters for the adults, it also features a number of events for the children  most notably the  ‘Pitch Invasion’ which is a children’s party.

If you are new to the sport, Chestertons Polo in the Park has simplified the traditional rules of polo so that newcomers will be able to follow the action without any prior knowledge of the game. There will Polo matches every day with the Finals played on the Sunday.
