On a warm bright morning, a large number of people interested in good food made their way to opening of the BBC Good Food Show Summer in the City at the ExCel Centre. The BBC Good Food shows have become popular events in London and as you enter the show it is easy to see why.
The show has everything for the aspiring foodie and much more besides, over 150 producers and brands are available which help you discover new and innovative products and the latest kitchen equipment.
After savouring some of the samples from the producers and walking around the show, you might want to relax and watch the demonstrations and interviews featuring some of the top chefs and experts.
The Supertheatre is one of the highlights of the show, where you can watch the best celebrity chefs in the business cooking delicious dishes live, chefs include James Martin , Tom Kerridge, Hemsley + Hemsley, Paul Hollywood, John Torode.
The BBC Good Food Stage will be hosted by Barney Desmazery and Cassie Best from the BBC Good Food cookery team, this stage features a combination of celebrity interviews, recipe demos and panel discussions on diverse health topics and the latest food trends. Guests include magazine contributors Sabrina Ghayour and Jose Pizarro alongside TV stars Paul Hollywood and John Torode, as well as best selling authors including Hemsley + Hemsley, Davina McCall and newcomer Olivia Wollenberg of Livia’s Kitchen.
Not only can you shop for all the latest cook books at the Show, but you can also get your copy signed by the authors themselves! Book signing sessions with celebrity chefs and experts take place daily.
One of the important aspects of the show is to encourage healthy eating and there is plenty of advice from exhibitors and the Dietician’s clinic about healthy lifestyles.
With lots of food and drink options, entertainment and shopping, BBC Good Food Show Summer in the City offers something for everyone. If you are looking for some culinary inspiration and foodie entertainment, the show runs from the 20th to 22nd May. The show is located in the ExCel exhibition centre near to the Royal Docks and London City airport.
