The great Japanese pianist plays Mozart, Schubert, Schumann and Berg. Born in Japan, educated in Vienna and long resident in the UK, where she has been awarded a DBE, Uchida has built a reputation playing the works of Viennese and German composers.

Uchida’s attention to detail often involves painstaking research on original manuscripts and her interpretative intensity endears her to audiences the world over.
