Gary Hodges is the UK’s best selling and most collectable pencil artist whose limited edition prints are in demand from collectors around the world. He is a member of the prestigious Society of Wildlife Artists, won the WWF fine art award on two occasions and has been the subject of two television documentaries shown on the National Geographic and Discovery channels.

His love of wildlife inspires his drawings and he uses his talent to help protect wildlife raising over half a million pounds with the sale of his drawings and prints. To raise even more money for wildlife causes, Gary Hodges will be presenting his first solo exhibition in 22 years entitled Heart & Soul . The exhibition will see 160 of his wildlife drawings and prints adorn the walls of the Mall Galleries in London, the show is in aid of the Born Free Foundation and the Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA).

The show will open with a private view on the 18th April, which will be attended by stars including Virginia McKenna OBE, co-founder of the Born Free Foundation before the exhibition is open to the public on the 19th April 2016.

The free exhibition will give visitors the opportunity to buy some of Gary’s artwork from the Heart & Soul ranges starting from just £24 for a limited edition signed print, up to many thousands of pounds for one of his rare original drawings. As an added bonus, you can chat to the artist himself who will be at the gallery from 12 noon to 3pm each day .

Visitors will be able to support the worthy causes by taking part in a silent auction for lots that include 6 original drawings and around 40 older rare prints like Lion, Emperor Penguins and tall Cheetah. To make them truly unique and very collectable, Gary will make the silent auction prints different from the ‘usual’ editions. He will embellish them, adding many more pencil marks and transform them into something akin to an original drawing. Most of these prints are also special numbers, either first or last in the edition. Each one will also be co-signed by various celebrities adding further still to their value.

There will also be a commemorative book which will be published in an edition of just 1,000 signed and numbered copies especially for the show. Lavishly illustrated with every drawing/print featured in the exhibition, copies of the 146 paged book will be available for £35.
