Thousands of people join together to celebrate St Patrick’s Day in the heart of central London. This popular annual event brings the best of Irish culture and a packed programme of great entertainment to Trafalgar Square.
There’s a colourful parade featuring floats and a marching band which leaves Piccadilly at midday and winds its way to Trafalgar Square. The whole day is a celebration of all things Irish and is a showcase of London Irish sports clubs, dance schools, marching bands, community organisations and pageantry.
As part of the Mayor of London’s St Patrick’s Day Festival, the Irish Cultural Centre will be hosting a Q&A session with former Ireland president, Mary McAleese and interviewer Fergal Keane at City Hall.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to ask your questions on “Modern Ireland’s Changing Faces” to the former president of Ireland.
The talk will take place on Thursday 10 March from 7.30pm.
