Review – Destinations : The Holiday and Travel Show at the Olympia London from 4th to 7th February 2016



January and February are the times of the year that many people thoughts turn to their summer holidays, those looking for inspiration joined the crowds that descended on Olympia for the Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show. The show is the UK’s biggest and longest running travel show and features one of the biggest choice of independent and specialist travel companies with over 500 brands waiting to advise you on that dream holiday.


The Experience the World section  includes four different regional areas which include Experience the Americas, Experience Asia, Experience Africa and Experience Europe. Each area has a large number of tourist boards and tour operators who are happy to advise on your travel plans.


If you need further inspiration, visitors to the show have free entry to the Stanfords Travel Writers Festival in which  explorers, adventurers, TV presenters, journalists, politicians, food writers, poets and comedians tell their own particular travel stories. Highlights include Louis’ de Bernières talking about the Mediterranean, Nicholas Crane discusses Coast , Interviews with Simon Reeve, Brian Blessed and John McCarthy in conversation with Kate Adie .


Further information is available with Meet the Experts, a series of talks where experienced travellers will share their insights and advice about travelling to the different corners of the globe. Speakers will give you unique insight into their experiences and take you on fascinating and memorable journeys to inspire your next adventure.
