Champions League : Arsenal v Barcelona at the Emirates – 23rd February 2016



Arsenal face holders Barcelona in the Champions League last 16, after Arsenal’s heroic performance against Olympiakos in the last round, to progress they will have to knock out the favourites.

The victory in Greece meant that Arsenal had reached the knockout stages for the 16th successive season. But success in the final stages has eluded them, the nearest to winning the trophy was in the 2006 final when Barcelona won 2-1 thanks to two late goals in Paris.

Barcelona with a forward line of Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez will test the Gunners defensive frailities and the Gunners will have produce some of their finest football to continue in the competition.
