Sandown Park kick starts the New Year with an action packed jump racing card on Saturday 2nd January. The racing highlights are The 32Redsport.com Veterans’ Chase Final and The Grade 1 32Red Tolworth Novices’ Hurdle.
The Veterans’ Chase Series has been run over 10 qualifying races from January 2015, culminating in the final at Sandown Park this Saturday. Each of the 10 qualifying races have had a minimum total prize fund of £30,000 with the final offering £100,000 in prize money. All horses that started in one of the qualifying races were eligible to enter the Final.
16 runners have been declared for the Final with a combined age of 188. Between them they have run in 551 races, winning no fewer than 112.
Gates to Sandown Park on 32Red Day open at 10:30 with the first race taking place at 12.05pm. Tickets are fantastic value for money costing just £16.00 for Grandstand, if booked in advance or £20 on the day, and £22.40 for Premier Enclosure in advance or £28 on the day. Under 18s are admitted free.
