Royal Shakespeare Company : Richard II at the Barbican – 7th to 22nd January 2016

Richard is King. A monarch ordained by God to lead his people. But he is also a man of very human weakness. A man whose vanity threatens to divide the great houses of England and drag his people into a dynastic civil war that will last a hundred years.

David Tennant reprises his acclaimed performance in the  title role for a strictly limited season only at the Barbican.

Individual performances of Richard II run from 7-10 Jan only, for performances outside this time please see King and Country: Shakespeare’s Great Cycle of Kings.

2 hours 55 mins/including an interval
