Salonen/Lang Lang Series at the Royal Festival Hall – 26th November 2015

The opening concert of three featuring Finish conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen with the Philharmonia Orchestra being joined by acclaimed  pianist Lang Lang.  Chinese concert pianist Lang Lang  is global phenomenon who has performed with leading orchestras in Europe, the United States and his native China. It was estimated that an audience of up to a billion people saw Lang Lang’s performance in Beijing’s opening ceremony for the 2008 Summer Olympics.

In this evening’s concert he will perform  Grieg’s Piano Concerto followed by the complete incidental music for Ibsen’s Peer Gynt,
