The RHS London shows provide plenty of horticultural delight all through the year with a series of themed events, the latest is the 2015 RHS London Shades of Autumn Show which is an art and design show that celebrates the beauty of autumn colour.
The show features a number of exhibits and displays, however the Royal Horticultural Society also use the shows to keep the public informed of a number of projects. Lindley Hall features a section on the proposed The Garden Bridge Project and allows you to digitally experience walking across the bridge. There is also 3D models of the RHS new investment projects at RHS Gardens Wisley and Hyde Hall.
Within the two halls you will find The Shades of Autumn ornamental competition, Photography exhibits, Judged displays, horticultural art installations from the Royal College of Arts, kokedama and terrarium workshops by Petersham Nurseries and florist Helen Cranmer who has made a special arrangement for the hall.
If the wonderful displays give you inspiration to put your gardening gloves on there is plenty of opportunities to buy plants, gardening accessories and sundries. For the creative minded there will be some Flower arranging workshops.
Another aspect of the London shows is that RHS and the exhibitors are always happy to give advice on your gardening problems, the RHS run their own gardening helpdesk. For those with specific interests, there is a series of talks by experts in their field.
The London shows offer a great value for money and will appeal to anyone with an interest in horticulture. There is a number of food and drink options within the halls and plenty of stalls for those looking for those special gifts.
