Whilst not scrimping on elegant surrounding, Afternoon Tea in Claridge’s  is less formal than the Ritz with considerable trouble taken in sourcing both the Tea and food ingredients.

Claridge’s has it’s own tea connoisseur, Henrietta Lovell  who has scoured the world to bring  tea from small, little known producers from the four corners of the world.
Rare tea’s such as Malawi Antler have been sourced,  Claridge’s is one of just two places in the world where you will find it served.
The Afternoon Tea Menu includes :

A selection of  traditional sandwiches

Daylesford organic chicken,  lemon & tarragon on granary bread, Dorrington ham, celeriac rémoulade  & tomato chutney on onion bread, Severn & Wye smoked salmon,  brown shrimp butter & rock samphire  on rye bread,  Burford brown egg mayonnaise  & watercress on white bread Cucumber, crème fraîche  & rocket on white bread.
Scones –  Freshly baked every day in Claridge’s kitchens Served with Cornish clotted cream  and Marco Polo gelée
Hand-Made Pastries –  Chocolate gâteau, Mariages frères crème brûlée  Blackcurrant tart Pear & walnut éclair, vanilla cream Apricot & caraway cake

Although not as formal as the Ritz  there is a Dress code which is Elegant smart casual; no shorts, vests, sportswear, flip flops, ripped jeans or baseball caps

A selection of loose leaf teas and herbal infusions:
•a choice of 24 teas from all over the world
•a delicious array of finger sandwiches
•freshly baked raisin and apple scones with Marco Polo jelly and Cornish Clotted cream
•a selection of sweet pastries
Children’s Afternoon Tea

Available for children aged 5-10 years of age, the menu has been cleverly crafted to ensure your children enjoy the experience of afternoon tea .

Priced at £25 per person – Please note a 12.5% discretionary service charge will be added to your bill.

Your tea includes
•A selection of traditional sandwiches, scones, and pastries featuring some children’s favorites such as vanilla fairy cakes and brownies.
•The children will be presented with a beautifully designed menu that doubles as an intricate colouring book.
